Yesterday, since all my plans fell through I had a study night.
An ex-boyfriend introduced me to this. One night a week he would work on new things he wanted to learn for work or a new song to play on his guitar. That night he would devote to study.
Since I was at loose ends last night I dragged out my yoga tapes and did 30 minutes of yoga. I sat down and wrote poetry while an old movie played in the background. I dusted off my beginner French books and studied for an hour.
The result was that even though I had to work at everything I did, I felt amazingly relaxed.
What would you be willing to learn one day a week to make yourself a more rounded person?
